EA: Hub Vehicle Livery

Continuing its relationship with EA, Newl&Potter brand The Hub…the greatest video gaming roadshow on 16 wheels!

Having created the original identity for the EA Hub, Newl&Potter has subsequently designed a dynamic on the road presence for the entourage’s fourth tour of duty. The vehicle livery unifies the Dodge Ram, Mercedes rig and the trailer unit itself.

A remote unit boasting 19 gaming stations, a 70” tournament gaming screen and a virtual studio, The Hub is ‘the ultimate live gaming experience!’ It travels up and down the country showcasing all the latest EA games on all the best platforms, often before release.

The Hub visits events such as The Gadget Show, Wireless, Download Festival and Guilfest, football clubs from all Leagues and family favourites such as the Eastbourne Airshow and Wimbledon.

EA wanted a scheme that had continuity with the Hub logo. The existing vehicle wrap was considered too childlike, game specific and dated. The new livery needed to be more sophisticated, eyecatching and representative of the cutting edge technology and variety of the gaming offer within.

Newl&Potter therefore created icons to represent the different types of games and their genres, set them against a digital background and added a striking yellow to the black and silver colourways that had been briefed in.
